The mp3 player
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
- Added a volume control
- Opening another player closes any other players and pauses the download (clicking the pause button doesn’t stop the download)
- The width of the player is now configurable (the height stays fixed)
- Added next and previous buttons when used with multiple tracks
- Track information can now be passed in as flash variables (bypasses ID3 tags)
- Improved communication between multiple instances of the player (also synchronises volume between instances)
- Right to left (RTL) layout switch for Hebrew and Arabic languages
Admin panel
- Revamped the admin panel to fit with the new WordPress 2.5 theme
- Added a colour picker for customising the player’s appearance (this includes a special picker to select colours from your blog’s stylesheet)
- Added ‘reset colour scheme’ option
- Added ‘initial volume’ option
- Added ‘buffer time’ option
- Added ‘url encoding’ option
- Added multi-lingual support (French translation is included)
Other improvements
- Added an Audio Player button in the new WP 2.5 Media Library
- The plugin now uses a better system to embed the flash player (uses swfobject 2.1)
- The plugin can now be enabled in comments
